FRANCE DEMANDSREPARATION.
LONDON, June 4
The French Government have 'demanded
from Morocco the payment of £8,000, as
compensation to the family of M. Char
bonnier, a Frenchman, who was murdered
by the Moors at Tangier some time ago.
The Sultan is\also required to forward an
official apology for the outrage to the
French Minister at Fez, and to cause the
erection at the scene of the crime of» a
memorial to M. Charbonnier, with an in-
scription setting forth the particulars ot
his death and the reparation made for it.
